Alena Synková was born in Turnov in the Czech Republic.
She studied painting and sculpture with graduating from the Academy of Arts in Prague.
Subsequent study trips led her to Germany, England, Israel, Egypt and Greece.
Since 1968 she lives and works in Switzerland as a freelance sculptor and painter.
She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Switzerland and neighboring countries. In recent years, she has also exhibited in the Czech Republic, f.e. in her native Turnov, in Slavkov, Brno and Prague.
Since 1976 she has lived and worked in Bremgarten, Switzerland.
