Albín  Brunovský

Biography

Albín Brunovský was born in December the 25th 1935 in Zohor.

Albín Brunovský studied from 1955 to 1961 and from 1963 to 1966 at the Ac­ademy of Creative Arts in Brati­slava with prof. Vincent Hložnik. In the years 1967 to 1990 he led the special studio of book graphic art at the same school. He works in the sphere of free graphic art, painting, book illustrations, bank note and postage stamp design and other forms of applied graphic art. A. Brunovský had illustrated over 100 book titles. He has held over 100 solo exhibitions and taken part in many international ex­hibitions. He won many prizes at home and abroad.

Albín Brunovský died on 20. January 1997
